Project Description: To rehabilitate/restore and replace the Peirce Playground area and equipment to provide a stable, continuous ground surface throughout the area and to provide additional accessible playground equipment to ensure all children can utilize the playground and thereby making the playground more functional for its intended use. This fits into the Middleborough Community Preservation Plan’s FY21-FY25 recreational goals by protecting and improving the town’s existing recreational resources; creating new active recreational opportunities on land already owned by the town; improving access to the town’s recreational resources, including through the Americans with Disabilities Act compliance and accessibility for young families; and utilizing CPA funds with other funding sources to fund the project as a whole.
