Project – Nemasket River Artifacts FY2025

Step one documents

Project Description: Curation of approximately 46 boxes of prehistoric artifacts from the Nemasket River Village site that dates back 8,000 years. This site was formerly known as the Ja Mar Turkey Farm. The artifacts are currently being housed at the Public Archaeology Lab (PAL) in Pawtucket Rhode Island. The artifacts would be available to the public through an education agreement with PAL to come and show the artifacts a few times a year in Middleborough. Please see the attached curation proposal from PAL for more detail.
