Project – Nemasket Hill Chapel

Project – Wood Street Ball Fields – 2019

Project to clear and construct a baseball field and walking track. The field could also be used for lacrosse, soccer, football, and softball. This would help alleviate the documented lack of sufficient sports fields. Project was awarded $105,000

Project – Peirce Building Window Replacement – 2019

This project stabilized the building envelope by rehabilitation of roughly 60 historic windows and frames. This included window re-glazing, hardware replacement, removal/replacement of window putty, and storm window installation.

Project – Nemasket Apartment Roofs – Frank Street – 2021

The Nemasket Apartments were created in 1958. This project replaced roof shingles at 7 Frank Street replacing them with 30 year architectural roof shingles. Project – Titicut Trees – 2019

Replacement of trees at Titcut Parish Green that had been removed due to disease. CPA award was $5,500 with $15,000 in additional money provided by the applicant.

Project – Oliver Mill Park Stonework Phase Two

Funding requested to complete a second phase of stonework restoration in Oliver mill Park. This will repair deteriorating stonework and safety repairs to bridgework.

About the Middleboro CPC

The Middleboro Community Preservation Committee(CPC) was formed to administer CPA funds. The About page has contact and additional information about the CPC.

The Community Preservation Act - CPA - was adopted by Middleboro via ballot question in 2010. It is a tool for preserving open space and historic assets, creating community housing and outdoor recreational facilities.
